This is not my... Lent

Fasting from carbon means you still get to eat chocolate... |

Tearfund have started the 40 Day Carbon Fast. It is BRILLIANT. Sort of. Like a mini daily challenge and test of ingenuity...
Day 1 for example is:
"Remove one light bulb (without inviting danger) and live without it for the next 40 days.
Which clearly makes me want to attempt to remove the one in the hall that would require precarious balancing on the banister (Note to self: Must grow up before hitting 30..)
And Day 2:
"Check your house for drafts with a ribbon."
Perhaps the church is working in secret to assist the national 'morris dancing' crisis...? http://www.metro.co.uk/news/article.html?in_article_id=89849&in_page_id=34
Anyhow - Tearfund is a Christian charity but there are only 3 or 4 specifically religious challenges which can easily be replaced with:
- Change your electricity to a green supplier.
- Get all your mates round for dinner (and save on the power needed to cook individually)
- Get your loft / walls insulated
- Etc
So check it out and give it a go!
Good luck x
