This is not my... Quote

Look at a stone cutter hammering away at his rock, perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred-and-first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not the last blow that did it, but all that had gone before.

This is not my... NY resolution

New year, new you!

We're trying out some resolutions for 2007. Why not give one or two of them a go as well. Especially, the one that involves hot hot loving...

Do more fun activities.

It may be cold and rainy outside but with TV highlights such as soap star super star.... it's worth braving it!

Some exciting new hobby ideas from our mates are:

Taking a massage course - your friends will love you if you need to practice!

Learning the Alexander Technique - sort out your whole body in one fail swoop.

Conversational Language - find someone who speaks the language you want to learn and then, well, talk.

Making clothes - save some pennies and get a bit creative.

Learning to cook - erm - same as above really.

Painting - and again!

Tracking down a hot bloke - not sure if it REALLY counts as a hobby but stalking does get you out of the house...

Getting a band started - fun!

I am all hobbied up at the minute but one of mine is Parkour which is brilliant!

If you have any great ideas - let us know and we can add them to the list.

Get more action.

Long winter evenings. Don't want to waste energy by turning the TV/lights/heating on.

The solutions is simple.

Head straight to bed and snuggle up to make the most of all that body heat.

Sometimes you just can't be selfish when it comes to protecting the environment...

Spend time with people you love.

You are broke. Its raining. And the long summer nights are a long way off.

But it's the same for everyone.

Why not get together to fend off the depression.

Get your mates and family round and demolish all of the left over Christmas chocolate!

Get more rest.

So nice to take time off over Christmas. So nice to sleep. So nice to go for a gentle stroll.

But wht not take time to relax more often... and without the festive trauma! It's time to save a bit of energy through the gentle pursuit of being. Sure I read somewhere that it makes you more productive in the long run!

Call your boss and tell her your taking a long lunch/having a lie in. Hmmmmm.

Put a day aside each month.

To do all of the 'sorting out life' things.

Of course you would change to an eco-friendly electricity supplier/ get a charity bank card/spring clean/change your light bulbs etc but you just don't have time?

Well - put it aside.

Then sit back and ruminate on the enormous sense of well being.
