Howies

I really am an individual. I’m a one-off.

But it seems that this company have a really good handle on what I like and who I am and that is quite spooky.
Not only is the catalogue a work of art and totally collectable (weird) but the clothes are the best I have seen anywhere. Howies have saved me from the high street. The design is cluey, contemporary and simple. It’s kind of outdoors stuff for actives but that’s just the flavour, not the dogma.

The standard of manufacture is really excellent (clothes for wearing, washing and wearing again... you know? How clothes are MEANT to be?)

I have recommended this label to so many friends and they are all converts.

The Howies stuff I wear gets noticed, even though it’s not try-hard gear. And then I think it manages to be totally egalitarian... these clothes will make ANYONE look good. I will take this stuff camping or give it an iron and wear it on a night out. (And I don’t like to be under or over-dressed.)

The prices reflect the quality and the trouble they go to to source ethical materials, but they are in the wardrobe to stay.

I am happy and seriously... I don’t work for them. I just wish I could run a business like that.
